Hello friends!

I made this project just for fun. When I cleaned up, I found a cardboard frame with cogs and decided to use it somehow. I wanted to calm down and turn off after Christmas madness, and spend a moment alone with myself in my studio. This is the best relaxation for me.

As you will see on the video, I have protected the cardboard base with Impasto paints, not with white gesso as usual. Acrylic paints are ideal if you don't want the background to be just white.

I also played with structures, using one of the rust effect paste. I really like this delicate, grainy effect. To make it more visible, I emphasized it with light paint and gesso. I also added some color to my project using sprays and alcohol inks. Each of them reacts differently, even on the same surface, and I like such unexpected results.

As for the embellishments, one of the main decorations is a large metal star. It was supposed to be part of a Christmas artwork, but unfortunately, it did not wait. However, I think that in such a project it worked perfectly well. I also used several metals from the extensive Mechanicals collection and one of my favorite recently - Art Daily lines. You will find there photos and sentences that you can always and everywhere adjust. I love it for that!

Junk Journals - for Finnabair Creative Team - with video tutorial

Today I have for you two small notebooks, I made them some time ago for Finnabair Creative Team, but forgot to show you here :)

I don't even know where they came from to my drawer, but I did not quite like them and decided to change them. I was mainly interested in giving them some structure, spaciousness, but in order to still be comfortable to use them.

I started by gluing wood pieces to the covers. Later, I covered the entire surface with white gesso, thanks to which the paper became more resistant to water. Then I used a graphite paste to give the cover a grain. I liked the paste from the new Texture Fantasy series very much. They have beautiful colors and delicate structures, they suited me very well here.

I didn't want the covers to be too spacious, so I added only resin frames and cardboard. It was enough to add only matching subtitles and my project was ready.

Sparkling box - July's Prima & Finn Art Recipe

this month Art Recipe is about Finnabair's new products - gorgeous Unicorn Opal Magic paint set, sparkly Melange Art Pebbles, and amazing Texture Fantasy Pastes!

For this inspiration I have made a small, but rich in media and embellishments, box. I used the black ATC box, which is thick and can hold out a lot of paints and other water-based products. 

This project is really simple - try it! I covered the whole box and resin shapes with white gesso, and then I added the rest of the media. To achieve this unusual structure I used a new Texture Fantasy paste, which, in addition to this grainy texture, has amazing colors! I also used new Opal Magic paints - each one is an amazing color that gives the project beautiful flashes. To add more bling to my project, I used beautiful new art pebbles, that shine with a lot of crystals.

Spring cards - March Prima Art Recipe

Witajcie!

To mój nowy projekt na marcowe występy DT Finnabair na blogu Primy. W tym miesiącu wybrałyśmy do naszych prac pastę o fakturze papieru (Paper Texture Paste), farby Art Alchemy i pasty do tworzenia efektu rdzy. Wszystko oczywiście w wiosennych klimatach!

Gdy myślę o wiośnie, to moim pierwszym skojarzeniem jest Wielkanoc. Dlatego na to spotkanie na blogu Primy przygotowałam dla was wielkanocne kartki. Kartki robię bardzo rzadko, a jeśli już mi się zdarzy, zwykle są one bardzo proste. I tutaj użyłam bardzo prostego schematu i podstawowych elementów. Sięgnęłam po naturalne dodatki, takie jak drewno i mech, aby uzyskać ten wyjątkowy, wiosenny klimat.

This is my new project for March Finn Team Art Recipe on Prima blog. This month's focus is mixing Paper Texture Paste + Art Alchemy Paints + Rust Pastes, all with a Spring twist!

When I think spring, I immediately think of Easter. So for this Art Recipe I created for you some quick and easy to make Easter cards. I don't make cards very often but when I do, they are usually simple. I used a simple layout and very basic elements. I reached for natural embellishments such as pieces of wood and moss which helped me to create a lovely springtime vibe on my cards.

Jak widzicie, "papierowa" pasta może być użyta na wiele sposobów. Ja lubię używać jej tak jak gesso - dzięki swojej ziarnistej strukturze daje bardzo ciekawe efekty. Można również używać jej z maskami, tak jak pasty modelującej, wzór nie będzie całkowicie gładki, ale ma swój urok.

As you can see, Paper Texture Paste can be used in several ways. I like using it like gesso - thanks to its grainy surface it gives a very interesting effect. You should really try it out. You can also use it with a stencil, instead of a modeling paste - the pattern is not as smooth, it has a delicate texture.

Pasty do efektu rdzy doskonale imitują nie tylko rdzę, ale np. mech. Szczególnie ciemny oliwkowy kolor z zestawu Camouflage nadaje się do tego idealnie, kolor jest perfekcyjny. W swoich kartkach użyłam sztucznych gałązek i listków, ale dzięki tym pastom, nabrały bardziej naturalnego wyglądu.

The Rust Effect Pastes is also a great way to imitate such natural effects like moss. And the dark olive tone from the Camouflage set has the perfect color for that! I used artificial leaves and twigs here, but thanks to these pastes they look more natural and realistic.
