this month our topic on Art Daily Cafe is Day Dreaming and Night Dreaming, and one of my favorite colors - indigo. What I want to tell you about this theme? Have dreams! A life without dreams would be sad for me, always somewhere in front of me, I have goals to which I aspire. Because dreams must be fulfilled. Don't wait for them to become your reality: you have to help them.

Have small dreams and great ones. These easy and these seemingly impossible to fulfill. Each fulfilled dream will give you the strength to reach for more. However, the most important thing is to name your dreams. Do you know what you want? Today I have for you slightly belated Valentine's project with a beautiful Sizzix dies. These hearts look amazing on the artwork, they are very easy to fold and give you plenty of possibilities. Soon I will show you their other face, and today - tags.

Do wykonania tła użyłam nowych farb Finnabair - Liquid Acrylic, dają one bardzo wiele możliwości. Ja w tym przypadku nałożyłam niewielką ilość farby na taga i od razu popsikałam wszystko wodą, rozprowadzając kolor na całej powierzchni. Ważne, aby zrobić to szybko, bo Liquid Acrylic są po wyschnięciu całkowicie permanentne i już nie da się ich rozwodnić.

For the background I used new Finnabair paints - Liquid Acrylic, they give a lot of possibilities. In this case, I applied a small amount of paint on the tag and immediately sprayed everything with water, spreading the color over the entire surface. It is important to do it quickly, because Liquid Acrylics are completely permanent after drying.

Dzisiaj mam dla Was steampunkową inspirację, z dużą ilością warstw i detali. Użyłam tutaj jednej z moich ulubionych kolekcji Graphic 45 - Steampunk Debutante, kolekcji pełnej stylowych elementów, idealnych do wycinania. Wykorzystałam głównie balony i motyle, a jako bazy pod całą kompozycję - gładkich stron papierów. Znajdziecie też tutaj metalową kołatkę z głową lwa, która idealnie mi tutaj przypasowała.

Today I have for you a steampunk inspiration, with lots of layers and details. I used one of my favorite Graphic 45 collection - Steampunk Debutante, a collection full of stylish elements that are perfect for cutting. I used mainly balloons and butterflies, and as base for the whole composition - plain pages of papers. You will also find here a metal knocker with a lion's head, which perfectly fits here.

Cały projekt jest dość oszczędny i skupiony w jednym miejscu, nie chciałam zasłonić całego tła, które gra tutaj jedną z głównych ról. Do jego zrobienia użyłam 3D gel oraz przepiękną maskę Finnabair - Iris Tapestry. Po wyschnięciu pomalowałam całość czarnym gesso i dodałam koloru pigmentami i woskami. Doskonale to uwydatniło piękny, drobiazgowy wzór. Wykorzystałam tutaj też mnóstwo elementów z nowych foremek Finnabair. Żywiczne odlewy również pomalowałam czarnym gesso i podkreśliłam woskami, aby uwidocznić ich piękne detale.

The whole project is quite modest and focused in one place, I didn't want to cover the whole background, which plays one of the main roles here. I used the 3D gel and the beautiful Finnabair stencil - Iris Tapestry. After drying, I painted the whole with black gesso and added color pigments and waxes. It perfectly highlighted the beautiful, meticulous pattern. I used a lot of elements from the new Finnabair moulds. I also painted the resin casts with a black gesso and highlighted them with waxes to show off their beautiful details.

dzisiejsza moja inspiracja dla Retro Kraft Shop to zardzewiała kompozycja ukryta w metalowym pudełeczku.

Na wieczku wykorzystałam mnóstwo metalowych elementów z MitForm oraz najzwyklejsze metalowe podkładki. Wszystko trzyma się idealnie metalowej powierzchni dzięki 3D Gel od Finnabair. Tą kompozycję pomalowałam woskami z serii Art Alchemy.

my new inspiration for Retro Kraft Shop is a rusty composition hidden in a metal box.

On the lid, I used a lot of metal elements from MitForm and the most ordinary metal washers. Everything sticks perfectly to a metallic surface thanks to 3D Gel from Finnabair. I painted this composition with waxes from the Art Alchemy series.

W środku ukryłam trochę metalowych i żywicznych elementów, a wszystko potraktowałam pastą z efektem rdzy od Finnabair. Najpierw jednak wszystko pomalowałam czarnym gesso, dzięki czemu wszystkie dodatki jednakowo przyjmują wszelkie media i tworzą jednolitą całość. 

Inside, I hid some metal and resin elements, and I treated everything with a rust effect paste from Finnabair. First, I painted everything with black gesso, thanks to which all things equally accept all media and create a unified whole.

Pasty z efektem rdzy są permanentne po wyschnięciu, więc bez problemu mogłam dodać kolorowy pigment i spryskać wszystko wodą. Rdza się nie rozpłynęła, a turkus doskonale ją uwypuklił.

Rust effect pastes are permanent after drying, so I could easily add colored pigment and spray everything with water. The rust did not melt, and the turquoise perfectly emphasized it.

Now and forever - Finnabair Creative Team

Hi,

my new inspiration for Finnabair Creative Team is a vintage picture, which can be a beautiful, family souvenir. I used delicate colors and only a few decorations. The photo plays a major role here, and the embellishments just exposed it beautifully.

Creating a background, I used a great new product - a tissue paper. The paper is thin, so remember that the background color will be visible through it. That's why before I glued it, I painted my base with white gesso. You can also slightly wrinkle the paper when it is still moist. Then you will get very interesting wrinkles and creases, which can be beautifully emphasized with inks or paints. Everything depends on you and on what effect you expect.

As decorations, I used metal and resin elements, covered with the gesso to take on the colors better. I reached for the new mica powders this time. The Serenity set worked very well with the Carte Postale tissue paper. Thanks to these magical powders, I added to my project a subtle and shiny color. To emphasize the details a little bit more, I used waxes - new beautiful color Blue Lagoon and an old one Bronze Age. Both - new colors and older ones - are still the same, great qualitatively and velvety waxes, with a beautiful fragrance.
