Cozy love - Finnabair Creative Team

Hello,

it's time for my new project for Finnabair Creative Team.

I love to make projects for people who are close to my heart.

This time I made something especially for a friend of mine, using a beautiful picture from her pregnancy photo shoot.

At the beginning I was planning to make this piece in a completely different style - it was going to be bright and very colorful. However, while I was working on it, I saw some other photos, prepared for a different project and suddenly my vision changed completely.

You will be able to see it on the video - first, I used strong Impasto paint colors. But thanks to the fact that they are completely permanent after drying, I could soften them with the help of Heavy White Gesso. The whole project became hazy, with a touch of gentle melancholy and I like it much more this way.

The background for the adorable photo consists of many pretty elements - resin shapes, lace, a paper tag and some chipboard shapes. I know that most of them remain hidden but each has its own place and it makes the whole project complete. Even if only a piece of the element is visible, I feel that if it wasn't there, something would be missing.

Don't be afraid to completely change your mind, even when you're right in the middle of your creative process.  Continuing an idea that you don't like can be risky. You can easily end up with an artwork you really hate. Remember you can always start from the beginning, paint things over, take unwanted elements off - everything is allowed.

Just be open and flexible!

Find your happy - mixed media on wood

Hello!

Today I have for you project on wooden base, with very rich background.

I used new products from Finnabair - Art Alchemy Waxes and Impasto Paints.  They played amazing with stencil pattern and black gesso.

Little Things - scrapbooking layout for I-Kropka - with video tutorial

I had a real pleasure to make a few projects for polish chipboards manufacture I-Kropka.

Today I present you the first one - classic layout, with really little amount of medias :) It's main decoration is a really big frame from the collection "You are lovely", perfect for such works, where we can expose it entirely, without cutting. Layout has many layers, splashes, my favorite caboshons and of course twine.

I used new amazing collection from 7 Dots Studio - Dreamscapes.

Hello friends,

it's time for my new project for 7 Dots Studio. 

I wanted to make something vintage and rich in diverse media. I used paints, waxes, and basics media like gesso and modeling paste, to achieve the effect you see.

7 Dots Studio has many interesting stencils, this time I reached for Letters Stencil from Writer’s Block collection. This perfectly complements my background.

I also used other elements from this collection – word stickers, die-cut elements and papers. Its colors are rather neutral, thanks to the adding paints can be matched with many projects.

Make a wish - mixed media canvas for 7 Dots Studio DT

Hello friends,

I wasn't here for a while, but I'm coming back with new energies and hope that spring will help me with all my plans. 

Here you have one of my newest project - mixed media canvas for 7 Dots Studio. I used one of oulatest collection – Cotton Candy Dreams.

In this project I wanted to use many paints and other mediums, so I started with canvas, instead of paper. I built layers of the composition with paper straws, gauze and cardboard. And I made a lot of them :)

Add-ons from all collections are just perfect for making some final touches on projects. I used tags and word stickers to make my canvas complete.
