Lightbulbs - new challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo blog

Hello!

It's time for new challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo blog.

This month our theme is LIGHTBULBS.

Don't you think this is a really nice and easy theme? :)

My idea for this challenge is this tiny, mixed media house. I used a lot of Finnabair products - black gesso, micro and glass beads, mechanicals, mica powders… And of course a one of 7 Dots Studio collections - Fortune-teller. That was a base of my house.

ColourArte - DT Application

It's time for a new ColourArte DT Call!

Of course I need to reapply, because I LOVE this perfect paints :)

I wanted to make something original and unusual.

Sooo… it is my light bulb :)

I made for You a small tutorial.

ColourArte supplies:

• Twinkling H2O's: Raspberry Wine, Periwinkle, Pretty Peridot, African Jade
• Silks Acrylic Glaze: Apple Blossom, Plum Blossom, Mediterranean Blue, Black Emerald, Moss Green

Other supplies:

• gesso
• gel medium
• various sizes of glass microspheres
• gauze, thread
• hot glue gun

STEP 1

• Carefully remove the entrails of the bulb (but if you want, you can leave them).
• Mix glass microspheres with gel medium and apply carefully on the bulb.
• Let it dry.

STEP 2

• Paint light bulb with your favorite Silks Acrylic Glaze colors.

STEP 3

• Highlight details using gesso.
• Add thread and hot glue gun "fibers" to make something like spider web on our bulb.

STEP 4

•  Prepare butterflies to decorate our light bulb.

I'll make a short video to show you how to do it.

• Stick the butterflies to the light bulb and our project is ready!
